I am a Master’s student in Pharmacology and Toxicology, and am currently conducting honeybee research. I have been writing and performing spoken word poetry since 2007, and the work that I have produced has always been a reflection of my inner thoughts and view of the world. I have gained more perspective on my responsibility as a global citizen through a greater understanding of the systems in place in the world, and exposure through first hand experiences. I spent my childhood moving and traveling, and as a result identify more as a citizen of the world rather than calling one place home. The insights I have gained have led me to pursue pieces like “Know Your Privilege” among others.
